I did a short Germany tour with
Steve Haggard in late May. It was great, my brother Steve came along for
the ride and ended up performing and became part of the show! We were in
Magdeburg (my home away from home), Landau, Andernach, Hamburg, and I even
finally got to visit the famous town of Buxtehude! You know, where the
dogs bark out their …
Next was the UK tour, put together
by my compadre Roger Humphries. It was my first trip there and it is truly
a wonderful country full of interesting people. That was followed by a
short trip to Lithuania, where we did two shows. Steve Haggard met me
there as well as Mike Goroll from California, who played bass. We played a
club called “Broadway” in Vilnius, the capital, and a festival in
Visaginas, where 25,000 folks showed up, and it was awesome, great music,
great food, great beer and good times.
Lots going on, possible live
album, doing some guitar work on Steve Haggard’s latest project, and of
course, Germany and the UK are already in the works for next year, so keep
your schedules open.
I don’t mean to finish on a sad
note, but it is a life changing one.
My dad passed away June 5th.
He became ill around Thanksgiving of last year and never did recover. He
was a great man who led a good life for 74 years. Thanks to all of you for
your condolences, he will never be forgotten.
Take Care,
Joel
